Roots Rock Reality

Featuring an all star cast of musicians, members of the Roots Rock Reality band combine decades of experience on the stage to create a powerful, vocally energetic, bass heavy, rhythmically intwined showcase of Bob Marley’s catalog, one album at a time. The players have toured with and played for Burning Spear, AntThe Roots Rock Reality Band returns to the Berkshires with their heavy hitting reggae Tribute show.

In Addition to Bob Marley classics, this show will also feature special segments honoring Peter Tosh, whom along with Bunny Wailer and Bob Marley, was one of the core members of the band the Wailers, after which he established himself as a successful solo artist and a promoter of Rastafari.

Featuring I Anbassa and Ian I Soultree on vocals/rhythm guitar, Robin Setal on bass, Freddy McCondichie on drums, Dan Thomas on lead guitar, and Jay Metcalf on keyboards; the members of this group have played for Burning Spear, the Meditations, Johnny Osbourne, Mystic Bowie (among many others); perform regionally, nationally, and internationally; and have their own respective recording and touring projects in NY CT and MA.hony B, the Meditations, Johnny Osbourne, Turbulence, among others.

Fronted by I Anbassa (NY/CT) and IanI Soultree (MA), the band delivers compelling renditions the King’s music, as well as offering mashups of reggae classics and the singers’ original tracks.
