Reed Foehl

February 17 @ 7:30 pm

$25

Born in a small country town in New England and into a musical family, Grammy-nominated songwriter Reed Foehl writes stories of the human condition with a lyric and voice that push boundaries while paying homage to tradition. Dusty and patient, his music is genuine Folk/Americana.
Foehl will be joined by musician friends Jeff Berlin, Putnam Murdock, and Jefferson Hamer.

Opening for the show will be Monica Rizzio. No stranger to the roots music scene, Rizzio is an award-winning songwriter and brings her alt-country original music inspired by her Texas upbringing and years spent in Nashville to the shores she now calls home.

More about Reed Foehl:

Reed Foehl released his sixth studio album – “Wild Wild Love” – in May 2022 which was recorded with The Band of Heathens in Austin, TX.

“From traditional folk ballads to barroom sing-alongs, this tunesmith’s emotional, deeply personal lyrics and indelibly infectious choruses…leave the listener with an overriding sense of optimism” (Glide Magazine) — something we could all use a little more of these days.

He was nominated for a Grammy Award for his song “Fly” co-written with Brent Cobb which was covered by country legend Lee Ann Womack.

Foehl now resides in the Green Mountains of Vermont and continues to tour across the globe.

More about Reed’s supporting band:

Jeff Berlin is a lifelong drummer whose background is primarily in Americana and Jazz music. A well-known and highly sought after veteran of the Boston music scene for both recording and performance, Jeff has lived in central Vermont for over fifteen years and continues to find inspiration in the natural environment around him.

Jefferson Hamer is a guitarist, singer, and songwriter from Brooklyn, New York. He has toured and recorded albums with Anais Mitchell (Child Ballads, winner of a BBC2 Folk Award), Sarah Jarosz (as guitarist and harmony singer on her Grammy-nominated Blue Heron Suite), and Session Americana.

Singer/songwriter Putnam Murdock will open the show with a combination of old-time folk, country and blues music. His songwriting presents an honest voice of Americana music.
