Melissa Brinton

Melissa, a native of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, is a singer, songwriter and multi instrumentalist. As a solo performing musician she sings and plays finger-style acoustic guitar and piano. Melissa’s solo performances include a blend of originals and cover songs with a special love for folk music. Melissa has an extensive repertoire ranging from 50’s pop to the hits of the 60’s and 70’s. Her musical inspirations include Joni Mitchell, Tori Amos, Jewel and The Beatles, among many others.
At the age of 12 Melissa began fine tuning her vocal talent by joining her church’s choir. Over the years she has developed her skills on several instruments. These include guitar, piano, violin, ukulele and the Bodhran drum. In 2008 she began performing at open mic nights in Pittsfield Massachusetts. Since then she has established musical relationships with many other local performing musicians.

Melissa performs solo shows and duos. You can catch her performances at bars, restaurants, inns and other events throughout Berkshire County.

In 2017 she released her first album self-titled “Melissa” featuring all original music. Melissa has also recorded many cover songs in the studio, and live performances as well, some of which can be found on her YouTube channel. Of particular note are her wonderful renditions of Joni Mitchell songs titled “Born With the Moon”.
