Joanna Kurkowicz, violin; Doris Stevenson, piano – Faculty Recital

Violinist Joanna Kurkowicz, Lyell B. Clay Artist in Residence at Williams College, together with pianist Doris Stevenson, Lyell B. Clay Artist in Residence, present a faculty recital under the sponsorship of the Williams College Department of Music. This eclectic program includes Maurice Ravel Sonata No. 2, M. 77 for violin and piano; Krzysztof Penderecki Cadenza for Solo Violin; Johannes Brahms Sonata for Violin and Piano, No. 3 in D Minor, op. 108; and a suite of works by Erik Satie, arranged by Sato Matsui ’14, that includes U.S. premieres.
