Our Emerging Artist Series celebrates young talent, offering live performance opportunities in front of a supportive audience.
The Pittsfield Chamber Project (PCP), formerly known as the Pittsfield Youth String Quartet (PYSQ), was founded by musicians Davis Albayeros and Ethan Maisonneuve in 2020 to create an accessible and equitable opportunity to learn chamber music in a collaborative setting. Since its inception, PCP has expanded their program to offer opportunities aimed at students in middle school interested in learning and performing chamber music. This chamber group has the older students, as well as faculty, teach, coach, and prepare them to work with each other and eventually become a self sufficient quartet. The original members of the PYSQ have become the Soto String Quartet and aim to provide a higher level of experience and difficulty in repertoire for students to challenge themselves professionally and explore educational and performance aspects through performing and teaching.
