Artist-in-Residence: Xolisile Bongwana

Xolisile Bongwana has spent the past week in residence at Studio 9.

Born in Eastern Cape, South Africa, Xolisile Bongwana is both musician and dancer, composer and choreographer, working with award-winning choreographers like Robyn Orlin, Luyanda Sidiya, and Gregory Maqoma. He last performed in The Berkshires at Williams College ‘62 Center in 2024 with Vuyani Dance Theatre: Cion: Requiem of Ravel’s Boléro.
