DCSC: Shinbone Alley with Bonnie Milner & Deirdre Murtha

Join us on Friday Dec 13th for a very special edition of Race Brook Lodge’s beloved tradition of sea shanty singalongs. Shantyman and Balladier, Alex Harvey is brining world famous traditional singers Bonnie Milner and Deirdre Murtha to join him for 2024’s final Shanty night.

Shinbone Alley combines the musical forces of a rotating cast of musicians lead by multi-instrumentalist, Alex Harvey, SHINBONE ALLEY. Its an old world folk collective that reimagines archaic street ballads and songs of the sea. We gather to celebrate the haunting intercultural exchange of 18th and 19th century sea songs and balladry – whose ingredients travelled from the furthest corners of the globe to be remade and stitched anew by sailors of every shade and shape at port and at sea.
